Geometry
Geometry

The long "Reach" allows for the use of a short stem and wide handlebars, improving steering precision. A slack head tube angle enhances stability, while the short rear triangle increases agility on descents. The frame is designed for 100mm travel suspension forks. In line with current trends, it is compatible only with single-chainring drivetrains.

Bottom Bracket
Bottom Bracket

The frame features a 41mm diameter and 92mm wide bottom bracket shell, designed for a press-fit bottom bracket. This setup helps reduce the overall weight of the bike. The frame is intended for use with cranksets featuring chainrings between 32T and 36T.

Head tube
Head tube

The head tube includes two ports for threaded cable inserts, which, in addition to accommodating the derailleur and brake cables, allow internal routing for a dropper seatpost and a rear shock lockout cable. Additionally, the strategic positioning of these ports prevents cable rub.

Brakes and Rear Triangle
Brakes and Rear Triangle

The Post Mount brake standard supports the fitting of brake callipers from various manufacturers, with a maximum rotor size of 160mm. The Boost 148mm axle standard enhances the stiffness of the rear triangle, resulting in better ride control. The 31.6mm seat tube diameter allows for a wide range of adjustable seatposts. The generous tire clearance supports tires up to 2.3”.

Suspension arm
Suspension arm

The flexible suspension arm ensures appropriate flex in the rear triangle. To further reduce weight and improve frame stiffness, the pivot point between the upper and lower rear triangle tubes has been removed. Instead of traditional bearings, the frame material provides sufficient flex without compromising durability.

Shock Mount
Shock Mount

The Hero frame is designed to work with a 165x40mm "Trunnion" shock. The suspension link can also be swapped to accommodate a standard "Double Eyelet" shock, measuring 165x38mm.
